ANNAPOLIS, MD (August 20, 2008) – Brown Contracting recently completed renovations for the United States Naval Academy’s prestigious golf club.

The project encompassed transforming the snack area into a full service club with dining and meeting spaces, an extensive audio-visual system, electrical and mechanical upgrades and the addition of wireless internet access.

The most noticeable of the Club’s improvements are the interior finishes. A custom stamped tin ceiling with copper based accent paint was installed in the dining and meeting areas. Mahogany details are found throughout including full wainscoting, six panel doors, saloon doors and custom cabinetry. And the focal point is a poplar tongue-and-groove horizontal wall milled from a 160 year old poplar tree which stood at the Club’s tenth hole tee. The tree was downed by lightning a year ago and carefully stored by the Naval Academy for this special addition to the Club.
